Who runs Transpride?
- The admins of Transpride are currently Kyle and Gabriel. If you would like to contact them, please go here.
How much experience in the transgender community do the members of Transpride have?
- We are all at different stages in life and transition. Some have started hormones while others have no plans to. A few of our members are active participants in various LGBT-geared clubs, organizations, and even other blogs. Most of us are pretty “set” in our gender identity, but some are still exploring.
How can I become a member of the team? What does it take?
- Being a member of the Transpride team doesn’t take much. We welcome people from all walks of life, stages of transition, and identities. Check out our guidelines for the specifics. If you feel comfortable with that, apply!
The “About Transpride” page says you all have been up since September 2009, but I only see posts from January 2010. Why?
- In August 2010 we underwent a major overhaul, and (for the sake of professionalism and being neat) all old posts were deleted by previous admins.
It says “for the trans people,” yet most of the posts I see are about trans men.
- Tumblr is a common gathering place for FTM-spectrum people of all types. This leads to a constant overload of FTM-spectrum applicants each month. Due to some members having to leave, those spots need to be filled by whoever is applying. This, in turn, creates more FTM-related posts. To combat this, previous admins of Transpride implented a rule stating that no more than five members of each “category” will be allowed on the team (two for cisgender folks). We’re still working our way down when it comes to the trans men, and up when it comes to everyone else. If you’d like to help us balance things out, please apply!
Where can I see old “Questions With Transpride” posts?
I have a problem with something that was said on the blog, or have a question that I don’t want to be published. Who should I talk to?
- Kyle would be the best person to speak to about any concerns regarding our blog. You can contact Kyle here. If you leave an anonymous message, please be sure to leave an email or some way that Kyle can follow up with your concerns.
